Sarah Houston is a world traveler who is most passionate about working with women, specifically focusing on the MENA region. She just returned to DC from a year as a Fulbright grantee in Turkey. During her Fulbright, she taught at Balikesir University while establishing a refugee community outreach group that worked with local Syrian and Iranian refugees to facilitate the visa process, preparing them for lives in the US. Sarah was a Posse scholar at Pepperdine University, where she studied Political Science and Film Studies. She currently works for the Turkish Heritage Organization, the Turkish-US think tank in Washington, DC and hopes to work with displaced women in the Middle East in the future.
